X-Men: The End (Vol. 3)

X-Men are dying. Shocking secrets are being revealed. Teammates are bickering. And behind it all is… Lilandra of the Shi’ar? Professor X can’t believe it, so he leads a mission of surviving X-Men into space to find out. The truth might be every bit as shocking as what they’d been led to believe…

This out-of-continuity “The End” story, set in an alternate future, presents a plausible way that things might all go sour for Marvel’s mutant heroes, while also giving fans the opportunity to see a lot more main characters die than they ever will in the current X-titles. It’s written, appropriately, by Chris Claremont and drawn by Sean Chen.
