Inez is a young girl with a unique talent. She can communicate with any animal. Normally this allows her to speak to her pet dog, but during a trip to the capital, she learns that it’s also a clue to her larger destiny. Inez is the only person who can understand the ancient dragon language, so it falls to her to go in search of a guardian dragon who can protect the country. She wears the Heart’s Blood, a pendant that will allow her to control the dragon, but it also puts her in serious danger. Such a pendant is a great treasure, even if you can’t speak dragon.

Comic Buyer’s Guide adds:

Manwha (Korean comics) generally means incredibly elongated figures, but here nearly everyone looks like Lord of the Rings elves expanded to the proportions of basketball players. Everyone is supposed to be pretty, but they’re so distended here that they approach the grotesque, and while fantasy characters are often supposed to be archetypal, the ones here are so bereft of characterization that they’re hollow shells. Speaking of hollow, check out the art: readers find empty page after empty page, the artist overusing negative as a timesaving device. (Backgrounds are kept to a bare minimum.)
