Pure Ducky Goodness

    (Small Fish, 2005)
™ and © Small Fish

Sheldon is ten years old. Not quite a “nerd”, but he did write a computer software program that speeds up the internet. When his stock went public, he suddenly had one point two billion dollars to play with. So one of his first projects was to download a speech-recognition program and encyclopedia into the brain of Arthur, his duck. Now with the help of his grandfather and various friends, Sheldon experiences life as we all should- sitting by the pond, going to school, dressing up for Halloween, attending science fiction conventions. You know, life.

Dave Kellett’s daily comic strip, Sheldon, has its first three years collected here in one volume. It’s funny and addictive. Still, I don’t know if it’s good or just sad that I got most of the sci-fi and computer jokes and references. All I know is this is a funny strip that had me laughing out loud quite a bit.
