The Mummy Archives

    (Millennium, 1992)
™ and ©1992 Millennium Publications

Readers who enjoyed the Millennium Comics adaptation of Anne Rice’s “The Mummy or Ramses the Damned” will probably find much to enjoy in this accompanying booklet giving background information. There are interviews with all the comic’s creators, thankfully often covering topics other than the works of Anne Rice. The best of these is with the rarely interviewed Jim Mooney, accompanied by a photograph. There are also paintings of all the lead characters from Mummy artist Mark Menendez, who is more comfortable with static art than storytelling. Rounding out a decent package is a series of articles on the historical Ramses and Cleopatra, Anne Rice, and guides to the Mummy in cinema and fiction. Future Starman artist Tony Harris contributes the cover.
