Unruly

A mixture of prose and comic, with a few pseudo-celebrity names involved. It’s a nice, tote-worthy size and weight, and takes a satisfying length of time to read. There’s some humor, a lot of irony, and a really stand-out piece of fiction by Stacy Pershall. Fan favorite Alex Robinson of Box Office Poison fame also turns in a pleasing alternate look at body issues and socialization of women. It will probably find more readers outside of the standard indie comic book audience than within, as it’s sort of a graphic-intense McSweeney’s.
