Marvel Milestones Special: Bloodstone, X-51 & Captain Marvel II

    (Marvel, 2006)
™ and © Marvel Characters, Inc.

Continuing the tradition of reprinting key events and special issues from the Marvel Universe, we now have four stories to remind readers what variety was like at the House of Marvel.

Marvel Presents #1 gave readers their introduction to a man who had lived for centuries, thanks to a special gem on his chest—the Bloodstone. Ulysses Bloodstone was the greatest monster hunter who ever lived and this was the beginning of his story.

Machine Man, The Living Robot sprang from the pen of Jack Kirby back in the seventies in a short lived adaptation of Clarke’s 2001, A Space Odyssey. Kirby took a track of his own by expanding on the life and career of Mister Machine, aka Aaron Stack, aka, X-51 and readers were drawn in deeply.

Amazing Spider-Man Annual #16 introduced a young police officer from New Orleans as she learned to cope with the incredible powers over light and energy she possessed as the second person to bear the name of Captain Marvel.

Finally, eighteen-year old Elsa Bloodstone journeys with her mother to claim the inheritance left to her by her late father. But monster hunting runs deep in the hearts of those who bear the name Bloodstone.
