Translated from Italian, this 40-page book contains 13 “stories.” They range from one page to an exhausting six. The consistent elements are the Frankenstein monster and explicit sexual scenarios. Many of the plots have a similar theme: A young beautiful woman is being raped and the monster comes to her aid. Her gratitude is then exhibited in a very carnal way. Classic movie monsters like Dracula, the Mummy and the Werewolf make appearances but usually they are the recipients of the monster’s rage. The art varies greatly but the writing is consistently superficial intended only to set the stage for the graphic payoff. Fans of the classic monster genre will be disappointed by the treatment those characters receive here.
