Hulk: Smash (2nd Series)

While not a follow up to the two-issue 2001 mini-series entitled Hulk: Smash, this book literally goes back to it’s roots with a small format reprinting in black and white of the first three issues of The Incredible Hulk. A smaller format focusing on the origins of one of Marvel’s more popular characters may be a way of hooking newer readers into buying the series and boosting sagging sales. Long time readers who have been exposed to various incarnations of Bruce Banner’s alter ego will have a treat reliving the early days with an articulate yet powerful Hulk who came to life with the setting of the sun each night. Stan Lee and Jack Kirby proved with the Hulk that the Marvel age had indeed come to stay.
