Masked Rider

™ and ©1996 Marvel Characters, Inc.

On his grandparents’ planet Edenoi, Dex Stewart was a prince. Now he’s been adopted by an Earth family, and he’s a normal teenager. Well, almost normal. He has the transformative power to access armor, weapons, and sentient vehicles to aid him in the battle against the evil Count Dregon. When Dex exclaims “Masked Rider Activate!” he becomes the Masked Rider, a hero who exists in the same continuity as Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. He’s even like a Mighty Morphin Power Ranger, in that he’s a teenager who activates and deactivates his heroic persona with a phrase, and his adventures fall in the same vein.

Unlike other Saban-licensed series, however, this book gives you the angst and pathos of typical Marvel characters, since Dex is torn between his adoptive family on Earth and his grandfather on Edenoi.
