Comic Genesis

May 5th, 2007 heralded the sixth Free Comic Book Day! Publishers provided comic book stores with free books to lure customers in and hopefully get the reading public interested in their particular books.

Comic authors launched their own free comic hosting service back in 2000. Known as Keenspace, in 2005 it was re-launched as Comic Genesis. Since then, it’s hosted over 6000 experimental and established webcomics. This collection of 30 black and white shorts in 48 pages was meant to entice readers and offer their services to writers and artists needing an inexpensive outlet for their work.
