This Free Comic Book Day entry serves two purposes and serves them well. One, for the casual or new Donald Duck comic book fan, this sampler gives the reader a good introduction to some of the newer ongoing talent with stories written and drawn by “modern Duck Masters” Don Rose, Pat & Shelly Block, and William Van Horn. Two, for the hard-core fan, there’s a Carl Barks cover from Donald Duck #29 that is rarely seen or collected due to the fact that there is no interior artwork by Barks in that particular issue (or this one for that matter).
