Meet Bob and Sally, the wonderful parents of one rebellious teen, Deborah, and two just-like-their parents twins, Nancy and Ronnie. Meet Sally’s mother: former Nazi Field Marshall Rommel’s right hand man before the operation that made him into the lovable grandmother she is today. This is a family that likes apple pie, the American flag, & above all, guns. This series takes just about every wacko stereotypical misconception of ultraconservatives in America and treats them as if they were real. It shows a family of gun loving, minority hating, extreme conservatives and lets the satire roll.

Enhanced by Gonzalo Martinez’s clear artwork, Rich Johnston has come up with one of the most satirical looks at Americana stereotypes anyone has done in ages. Not for younger readers, of course, this series pokes fun at what many people perceive as the down-home American family with all their misconceptions and stereotypes, from pistol packing mamas to the downtrodden black american being singled out for special harassment. If anyone is offended by this series—get a life. It’s satire and it’s darn funny.
