Marvel Romance Redux: I Should Have Been a Blonde

™ and © 2006 Marvel Characters, Inc.

Marvel is having a little fun at it’s own expense, but for the benefit of their readers! Taking the classic Marvel Romance pages and rewriting them to be stories of the fantastic and bizarre, Marvel has created flighty, fun tongue-in-cheek tales that are a delight to read. Peter David writes the lead story for I Should Have Been a Blond, and turns what was originally a comedy of errors into a fantastic story of what happens when a headstrong young woman gains diabolical powers. Back-up stories feature scripts by John Lustig and Matthew K. Manning, both of whom place their blonds in odd situations, such as being haunted by the ghost of Humphrey Bogart and trying to create a relationship without a common language.
