Rival Schools

If one were to make a snap judgment of Japanese culture based on what’s presented in comic books and video games, one might assume from this book that Japanese schools are like gangs. Teachers beat on students to find out if they’re worthy and rival schools rumble with each other.

Hopefully, the Japanese school system is far more peaceful than the schools presented in this book. Following the storyline of the Capcom video game, the folks at Udon track new student Batsu at Taiyo High School who is attempting to learn about his missing mother, the school’s lunch lady. In order to find answers, Batsu gets into fights with other students, whether they’re friendly or not.
