101 Ways to End the Clone Saga
(Marvel, 1997)
™ and ©1997 Marvel Characters, Inc.
This one-shot self parody follows the Mighty Marvel creators as they try to find some way to end the Spider-Man clone saga.
The Jackel had thrown a wrench into Spider-Man’s life by revealing that he was actually a clone of the original Peter parker. The other Peter Parker had taken the name Ben Reilly and disappeared for many years, believing that he was actually the clone. Ben Reilly returned, discovered he was the true Peter Parker and began to try and put his life back together.
Over a year of confusing Spidey stories later, Marvel found that the clone storyline was driving away readers in droves. Now they have to find a story that will put the real Peter Parker back in the Spider-Man suit.
