The Blackbeard Legacy

Set in the Bahamas in 1718, Blackbeard’s Legacy is Hanna Teach, who claims to be the daughter of Edward Teach, also known as Blackbeard (although since “Edward Teach” was a pseudonym for the world’s most famous pirate, Hanna’s real name would also be suspect). Inspired by actual female pirates of historical record, Hanna tries hard to prove she can fight, drink and carouse as good or better than any of her male counterparts. Her general plan is to get filthy rich, destroy her father, and kill anyone who gets in her way. Not necessarily in that order.

While hardcore pirate enthusiasts may like this, the dialog is a bit too modern and the book would benefit from a less experimental artist. The artwork is so loose and cartoony that most characters are barely recognizable as human.
