Shinobi

Shinobi is based on a popular arcade game that spawned a Sega franchise, including a new game for Playstation 2. It is set in a dystopian future, takes place just before the events in the Playstation 2 game, and chronicles Hotsuma's struggle with his brother Mortisune to become the leader of an elite ninja-clan with the help of a cursed, mystical blade. The action is over-the-top, anime/manga-inspired fun—thanks to the gorgeous artwork of Paco Medina (Suicide Squad); and the tale of the conflict between two brothers has an almost mythic quality—thanks to the inspired writing of Scott Allie. This one-shot also includes artwork and notes from the Playstation 2 game.
