Oz: Straw & Sorcery

Queen Ozma of Oz has been kidnapped by the sinister Nome King, and now languishes in the dungeons of the Emerald City. The Scarecrow, once-beloved King of Munchkinland, is under the Nome King’s control. Having failed in an assassination attempt, freedom fighters Jinjur, Amber Ombi, Wogglebug, Tik-Tok, and the rest seek to capture the Scarecrow and restore his mind, if they can. Meanwhile, Scraps, the Patchwork Girl, has been banished by her true love, the Scarecrow, and faces capture—or worse—at the hands of the evil Mombi. Toto, I don’t think we’re in Kansas anymore!

This three-issue mini-series, a spinoff from Caliber Comics’ ongoing Oz series, tells an exciting fantasy adventure that’s half Wizard of Oz, half Conan the Barbarian. The story by Stuart Kerr and Ralph Griffith builds on the classic Oz books of Frank L. Baum.
