Monster House

“Bones” is a wanna-be heavy metal rocker whose career is going nowhere, but a drunken venture into the spooky old house on the hill changes all that. That trip unearths memories of a day 20 years earlier, when an errant kite led to a chance meeting with the old man who lived there. That was the day Bones found out why the place was known as Monster House. Sometimes nothing much changes in 20 years.

If that sounds like the recipe for a horror movie, it is—this one-shot is a companion to the Columbia Pictures film of the same name. Joshua Dysart and Simeon Wilkins write and draw the adaptation, which also features an original backup story.
