A thousand-year-old clan of Scottish warrior beasts who turn to stone during the day are brought to New York by a billionaire who awakens them from an ancient sleep when he re-builds their castle on top of his skyscraper. The noble Gargoyles fight to protect New York City from evil.

One of Disney’s darker properties, Gargoyles ran as an animated series from 1994-1996 and earned a devoted fan following. Fan interest persisted after the series’ cancellation, and eventually led to this comic book version from SLG Publishing written by the Gargoyles’ original creator, Greg Weisman.

Retaining the television show’s penchant for complex plots and characterization, and picking up right where the series left off, the book adds the first new stories to the Gargoyles canon in a decade.
