This colorful cartoon romance toys with the familiar Superman/Lois Lane romantic paradigm by imagining what happens when the male super-hero lead comes out to his girlfriend. Creator Thomas F. Zahler generates comic spark by exploring the inequalities inhering in any relationship where one half the pair is an invulnerable superman, and the understandable jealousies any ordinary woman would feel dating someone who’s romantic past includes bodacious female she-warriors. Will the barrel-chested, caped Crusader and the perky, blond Abby find a way to make it work? Maybe true love will show the way.
