This black-and-white comic from Bryan Wade’s Spoon, Ink contained two feature stories, and also provided a showcase for new, unknown talent in the “One-Shot Mini-Comic” slot.

The cover story, “Stik & Ash,” is set in a dark and grim world where the government uses genetically engineered super-soldiers to control the downtrodden masses. Their one, slim hope of salvation lies with a special Eden Child, stolen in the night by a small band of rebel freedom fighters.

The second feature details the adventures of “Marko Poyo,” the soul chicken detective. He’s a tough, demon-hunting gumshoe, but seems a little too reminiscent of another cigar-smoking bird, Howard The Duck.
