Superman Returns: The Official Movie Adaptation

This is an essentially a straight adaptation of the successful 2006 Superman feature film. The powers-that-be felt that the only good Superman films were 1978’s Superman: The Movie and 1980’s Superman II, so the storyline for this film takes place after the events of those two films and totally ignores 1983’s Superman III and 1987’s Superman IV: The Quest For Peace. Brandon Routh does a credible job replacing the late Christopher Reeve, but the irreplaceable Marlon Brando is still played by the late Marlon Brando! (Via archive footage.)
