Ronald Shusett and Steve Pugh capture the flavor of old-fashioned pulp adventures and movie serials with this action series that’s filled with big action, shocking plot twists, and an endless series of complications for the protagonists. Set in the futuristic New Venice City, the story finds the city’s founder, Alan Gaskill, protecting the citizens from threats as the underwater hero, Shark-Man. Armed with equipment that would make Blue Manta envious, Shark-Man must deal with both political and physical threats. In addition to helping with the script, Pugh also provides the appropriately grand-scale painted artwork.
