A Dummy’s Guide to Danger

As diverse as some comic universes are, this is an odd one. Private Investigator Alan Sirois deals with the dark side of humanity and constantly lives on the edge of danger. His partner, Mr. Bloomberg, is a dummy. The wooden kind. What’s more, it seems Mr. Bloomberg was shot in the spine and crippled by an unknown assailant, forcing Alan to carry him wherever they go. When not insulting the police or Alan’s sexual prowess, Mr. Bloomberg assists Alan in a variety of cases, from finding kidnapped children to solving the mystery of a murdered movie star. The duo’s relationship while crimefighting, highlighted by Bloomberg’s acerbic personality, is the focus of the series.
