Sheriff Ricco has a strange case on his hands. Three grisly and unexplained murders have occurred in the town of Ash. The victims, upstanding men of the land, were war heroes that the sheriff served with. What he doesn’t know is that the deceased have been resurrected as powerful pawns in the service of Artimis Chill. Chill and his associate, Darius Viggen, need these transformed men and the power they possess to rule this world. Assistance arrives in the form of the Mana Rogues; a group of eclectic heroes who wield outlawed magic.

This title combines an Old West style sheriff, complete with a six-gun and cowboy syntax, in a mythic fantasy setting. It is a melding that does not blend smoothly. Stilted dialogue that doubles as exposition sounds forced and unnatural.
