Glory & Friends Lingerie Special

Lingerie specials are supposed to portray female super-heroes at their sexiest. Alas, these fantasy portrayals of Glory, Riptide, Avengelyne and other female characters from the Image universe don’t look like real women. They possess impossibly skinny bodies and the always present overly endowed busts. There is not an ounce of sensuality in a single panel as these portrayals are sharp angles and devoid of (ahem) curves. Most disappointing are the eyes. It’s been written that the eyes are windows into the soul. In these heroines, they show only emptiness and cold space. Not a single panel connects on an emotional level in which one could fabricate any reason to be with these women. Photographs of a live action model are included as a comparison and it’s not a fair contest. Her eyes reveal more about character than any article of see-through clothing.
