These comics, published under the banner of Crusader Comics (not to be confused with Crusade Comics, publishers of Shi), are in actuality preaching Christian sermons thinly veiled as a series of stand-alone adventure stories. Each issue contains numerous scripture passages worked into the dialogue of the narrative. With such genres as espionage, horror and crime drama as well as Biblical stories, publisher Chick Publications seems ready to single-handedly save the world, one comic reader at a time. Each volume even comes with the warning, “This set of books could change your life.”
