I Love You (Charlton)

Formerly titled “In Love,” this title was one of Charlton’s long-running contributions to the romance comics genre. Most stories came complete with ubiquitous marriage proposals, and reunions with childhood sweethearts and perfectly behaved gentlemen. This series attempted to keep itself timely, with decidedly mixed results. These attempts included the occasional celebrity appearance, working women—and in the late 1970s, lots and lots of blue eye shadow.
