Betty Page was one of the great pinup girls of generations past. The real-life Betty is now getting along in years and has become much more conservative. Nevertheless, the Betty of yore lives on in countless “good girl” comics.

Teo Jonelli introduced his particularly nasty version of this famous good girl in Sushi #3. The “Betty in Bondage” version was featured in several subsequent issues of Sushi before starring in this series. Here the Tennessee darling is living the risqué life of an adult pictures’ model. Her photographer, a mug named Murray, specializes in bondage and discipline shots. As such, Betty spends a lot of her time wearing lingerie and leather, or staging catfights with other women in front of Murray’s camera.
