Bardin The Superrealist
™ and ©2006 Fantagraphics Books, Inc.
Like a mad cross between Charles Schulz’ Peanuts, Winsor McCay’s Little Nemo and a Salvador Dali painting comes Bardin. Artist and writer Max (no last name) has taken this strip, which originally appeared in Drawn and Quarterly, and published this hardback compilation of stories. Most of the stories only run one page or two and vary between the traditional “gag-a-day” Sunday strip to extremely surreal and psychedelic. But if you are a fan of the D&Q material or material drawn by the similar style of Seth, then give this book a try.
