Blade (5th Series)

    (Marvel, 2006–2007)

Released to coincide with the short-lived Spike TV series, this title sets Blade directly in the Marvel Universe. Creators Marc Guggenheim (Wolverine) and comic legend Howard Chaykin (American Flagg) amp up the action quotient with guest appearances by Spider-Man, Doctor Doom, Wolverine and S.H.I.E.L.D., while at the same time fleshing out the character’s past through the use of flashbacks. And, of course, there are plenty of vampires that end up with stakes sticking out of their chests.
