Eric Powell’s Depression-era (not necessarily America’s, but somebody’s depression) zombie-thumping thug gets an all-star treatment in this anthology of tales about The Goon and his wormy sidekick Frankie. Powell and editor Matt Dryer run some fine quality-control on this one, delivering four freakishly funny tales in The Goon tradition from top-name talent spanning an all-star spectrum of comics, TV and film. Definitely not a comic to be missed, by neither Goon completists nor anyone who enjoys good humor. It might offend a few, but probably only those who could use some offending.
