The Pin-Up Art of Bill Wenzel

Sometimes the most enticing erotic images leave the most to the imagination. That was the case with artist Bill Wenzel, who spent much of the 1940s to the 1970s drawing cartoon after cartoon of beautiful, voluptuous women fairly bursting out of their clothing—but by and large, they did in fact wear clothing. For years, in magazines, digests, and a variety of other publications, Wenzel’s women stood out from a crowd. This collection gives his work new life, long after its original publication.
The attractive book—in more ways than one—also includes a career retrospective and biography of the man who clearly inspired legions of followers and admirers. Most of the cartoons feature spot color.
