Pistolfist: Revolutionary Warrior

Using established historical facts, Pistolfist is the fictional story of a runaway black slave fighting for the Colonies during the American Revolutionary War. Captured and imprisoned, masked freedom fighter Salem Attucks becomes a lab rat for the British governor, the estranged son of Benjamin Franklin, legendary inventor and American “founding father.”

Using Ben’s stolen design book, the British replace Attucks’ hand with a bio-mechanical gun, creating the first cybernetically enhanced soldier! But after being tortured, mutilated, and rebuilt, will the courageous warrior turn on his enemies or become their pawn?

Despite the heavy “British=Evil” and “Colonists=Good” inferences, creator J.S. Earls’ imaginative use of little known facts weaves an enjoyable tale that successfully combines the genres of historical fiction, true war tales, and super-heroes. With Ben Franklin as a prominent secondary character, the story delivers plenty of realism along with the action and drama.
