As the name implies, Darker Image is a look into the more shadowy reaches of the Image universe. A sampler series, it showcases some of the top talent at Image.

Included is Jim Lee’s Deathblow—Commander Michael Cray—a former SEAL and special operative, and easily one of the deadliest men alive. Rob Liefeld gives us Bloodwulf, a slightly more literate take on ultraviolence à la Lobo. Also included is Sam Kieth’s Maxx, a strange and funny purple behemoth.
