Keith Giffen and Shannon Eric Denton resurrect a monster from Jewish folklore in this tale. A rabbi in danger revives a murdered cop, transforming him into a golem to seek vengeance upon those responsible for the cop’s death. Set among the swamps of Florida, this tale features the extreme situations and violence that are typical of a story co-written by Keith Giffen. In his pursuit of the man responsible for having him killed, an officer named Simon must deal with white supremacists and crooked politicians. Artist Matt Jacobs seems perfectly suited to capture the manic, twisted, and disgusting aspects of Giffen and Denton’s plot.
