Springing from the pages of Daredevil, Angela Del Toro is a former F.B.I. agent and niece of the original White Tiger, Hector Ayala. When Hector dies tragically, his magic amulets—and the physical powers they amplify—are transferred to Angela. This mini-series follows Angela on her first foray into being a super-hero, and she hasn’t gotten the hang of it quite yet. Although she bonds with fellow heroine Black Widow and tries on her first uniform, Angela realizes she is totally unprepared to be a costumed crimefighter. Especially after going a few rounds with an updated version of King Cobra.

Co-written by novelist Tamora Pierce and her husband Timothy Liebe, Angela Del Toro is a conflicted and complex character who is trying to find her place in the Marvel Universe. The trouble is, she’s not yet sure she wants one.
