Gunsmoke (Gold Key)

After 13 years of publication by Dell, Gunsmoke the comic book was canceled and picked up by Gold Key. Unlike others titles picked up by Gold Key from Dell, this one did not continue with the same numbering and instead started over with issue #1. The Gold Key series was also very short-lived, unlike the TV series it was spawned from.

Around the same time Dell canceled the series, the TV series was also canceled. At the last moment the TV show’s schedule was shifted and Gunsmoke went on until 1975!
