In 1873 a group of homesteaders intent on settling in the Arizona territory find themselves attacked by an Apache tribe who are trying to stem the tide of the white man on their land. But when a space ship crashes in the Arizona desert in, the Apache greet the aliens in peace. But the lizard-like caste of Dar see only a virgin world ripe for plunder. Now the war between the settlers and the Apache is put aside as the two sides unite to repel a force that threatens the survival of both their cultures.

The prologue draws a moving and ironic parallel between the concept of Manifest Destiny, which justified the settlement of the West and how the same position would be wholly offensive if extraterrestrials adopted that condescending attitude toward our own extinction. The idea of two enemies uniting against common enemy is classic plot device, but the sad irony of the prologue is trivialized by the ease at which real-life hostilities are disregarded in what becomes a simplistic but entertaining romp.

This title is a collection strips that originally appeared on the web.
