A woman named Elizabeth Sherman discovered a liquid buried in the ice of Siberia for the last six thousand years, and incredibly, this mysterious liquid was not frozen. When she disappears, two agents are dispatched to find her. They are Abigor and Uriel, who once had a relationship a very long time ago, but found themselves on opposite sides in a very old, very fundamental conflict. Abigor, an agent of Lucifer and Uriel, an angel of God, find that in addition to working together, they need to convince a man named Michael Rome to aid them before the Four Horseman of the Apocalypse use Elizabeth Sherman’s discovery to usurp the power of God. Fans of quasi-religious, occult-themed, titles like Hellblazer will find a lot to like about this series. What is most intriguing is why the first issue features a cover painting that evokes Wentworth Miller of the Fox network’s Prison Break.
