The Shadow (Frew)

This is not the pulp-fiction, Lamont Cranston, “Who knows what evil lurks…” version of the Shadow. Instead, this Australian hero is secretly Jimmy Craig, “a gay young man about town” who “leads what appears to be a carefree life.” The Shadow is the enemy of gangsters and racketeers in this black-and-white monthly, and he wears a black mask over his face to hide his identity. The fortune he inherited from his father funds his crimefighting escapades, which take him to all sorts of exotic locations, including the Great Pyramids of Egypt. This title is fairly perfunctory stuff from the folks at Frew Publications.
