Narn K laboratories specializes in creating custom-made abominations. The monsters come in two kinds: “synthetics” made entirely of plastic and synthetic flesh, and “hybrids” which were formed by combining the DNA of humans and various animal species.

Whatever they may look like, the hybrids have free will and intelligence. Not surprisingly, many try to escape their horrific home and make it in the outside world. When that happens, Narn K sends teams to bring them back—inflicting as much pain as necessary in the process. But one group, lead by the mysterious Doctor Monster offers the fugitives shelter and a place to belong. They are the Nocturnals, eerie denizens of the night.

A creepy, painted series by Dan Brereton, The Notcturnals combines gangsters, monsters, and genetic experiments to create a world where every night is Halloween.
