Batman/Scarecrow 3-D
(DC, 1998)
™ and ©1998 DC Comics
Robin takes center stage in this nifty oversized one-shot from DC, featuring a book-length clash with the classic Bat-villain Scarecrow. The 3-D effect is a fun sideshow gimmick, but the story is what keeps Batman: Scarecrow 3-D moving. The dynamic duo track their nemesis, the insane master of fear, as he spreads panic through Gotham City’s burgeoning rave scene! Batman stays mostly in the background as the hip young Robin gets to the bottom of a series of hallucinogenic drug poisonings. DC makes a great effort to capture fans of the popular Batman Beyond animated series into the traditional Batman universe with efforts like this.
