Iron Man: Hypervelocity

    (Marvel, 2007)

After all the traumatic events happening because of the Civil War—not to mention the House of M, Avengers Disassembled, and Decimation—this high-tech, high-speed mini-series is a welcome change of pace for the Armored Avenger. Sporting yet another all-new suit of armor—with a secret unique feature guaranteed to make heads reel—Iron Man gets caught between the ultra-tech weapons of S.H.I.E.LD.’s special “cape-killing” units and the bleeding-edge technology of insurgent “cyberdrug” robo-ravers!

Of course, dodging supersonic LMDs and trashing ballistic missiles is pretty much an everyday occurrence for him, but it’s still enough of a distraction to leave Tony Stark—the man behind the armor—vulnerable to a much deadlier weapon… when a mysterious and beautiful woman (ain’t it always?) uses a cybervirus to insinuate herself into his heart, mind, and circuitry, it looks like this armor might be the last!
