Mythos: Ghost Rider

If you spend too much time too deeply involved with the Marvel Universe, you begin to lose touch with just how bizarre some of these concepts really are. A motorcyclist with a flaming skull for a head seems unremarkable when set against the typically over-the-top super-hero world. This one-shot, like other Mythos titles, retells the origin of Ghost Rider with a real-world feel where an ordinary guy makes a deal with the devil—and pays the price.

Paul Jenkins writes and Paolo Rivera paints the story of Johnny Blaze, who tried to save his father and ends up losing his soul. The fact that it came out right around the time of a big-budget Ghost Rider movie is either intentional or just a happy coincidence for Marvel.
