The folks at Devil’s Due Publishing adapt R.A. Salvatore’s epic series of novels into words and pictures, beginning with the first book, The Demon Awakens. Writer Andrew Dabb and artist Tim Seeley handle the task of bringing the world of Corona to life for comic book readers. This opening volume traces the paths of three young heroes as they find themselves drawn into war with a demon dactyl that threatens the entire world. Elbryan Wyndon and Jilseponie Ault are innocent adolescents in love who become separated by tragedy. Several years pass before the two reunite, hardened into warriors. Together with a mystical monk, Avelyn Desbris, they begin a saga that spans seven novels.
