Once upon a time the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles ruled the indie comics world, and became a kind of pop-culture phenomenon. Like most such stories the excitement faded, but there was still a lot of richness in the inspired characters themselves. This series focuses on a depressed Leonardo, haunted by memories of what has happened to his team. Can he put the past behind him?

Spinning out of the events of the Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this black and white series has a bittersweet feel to it, both humorous and strangely dark. It’s written and drawn by Jim Lawson but Turtles co-creator Peter Laird consults.
