Helmet of Fate: Ibis the Invincible

Ibis the Invincible first appeared in the first issue of Whiz Comics (#2), published by Fawcett Comics, also the home of Captain Marvel of Shazam! fame. The story was a simplistic tale of an Egyptian mummy come to life and with the aid of his trusty Ibistick, he is able to clothe himself and bring his mate Taia to life as well.

This updating shows the original Ibis passing on the flame to a teenager named Danny Khalifa, the subject of much racial ridicule in the days after 9/11. He carries on the tradition as the new Ibis, complete with new costume.
