Secret Defenders

Doctor Strange was once the mightiest of sorcerers, but has since been stripped of his powers as Sorcerer Supreme. Although he is still able to sense the dangers that threaten the world, he often finds himself unable to stop them alone. So just as he gathered the first team of Defenders, he now gathers others beside him to help fight these greatest of battles.

These “Secret Defenders” (initially comprised of Nomad, Darkhawk, Spider-Woman, and Wolverine) are a loose collection of heroes, drawn together to fight the direst of threats. Something of a “part-time save-the-world group,” readers could expect the line-up to shift continually, as dictated by the other duties of the members, and the nature of the crisis being faced.
